Hong Kong Youth Saxophone Choir (HKYSC) presents - 16th Anniversary Concert “Spark in Life - 花火”

In the daily rush of chasing after one thing after another, those tiny sparks of happiness are easily overlooked.

Sparks are fleeting moments — small, ordinary instances that may seem insignificant, yet can be savoured for a lifetime.

Sparks are life’s quiet blessings, always present around us. Compared to achievements, status, or grand ambitions, these small moments of joy bring a gentler, more heartfelt smile.

Sparks are brief, so they are all the more precious. Though they bloom only for an instant, they are bright enough to illuminate an entire life.

No one says that dreams must be grand enough to change the world. Sometimes, happiness is closer than we think. If we look around and listen carefully, we will find that the sparks of happiness are often right beside us — in the people around us.

This concert centres on the expressive tone of the saxophone, blending light-hearted jazz, warm ballads and contemporary works. Through live performance, stage lighting, firework projections, interwoven beams of colour and carefully designed soundscapes, the audience is guided through different kinds of happiness — from the joy of first discovery, to the warmth of human connection, and finally to the courage of becoming one’s true self.
